DRS IntelliReg® - (fingertip biometrics)

DRS IntelliReg®, offers the latest technology and biometric fingertip sensing for monitoring and tracking student attendance in schools, further and higher education establishments. It offers complex attendance reporting and real time query abilities helping to improve standards within the education system. DRS biometric scanners are specially designed optical readers which code the unique points of each fingerprint and use an algorithm to convert it into a mathematical template, thus omitting the need for an actual fingerprint image to be stored.

DRS IntelliReg® software performs electronic registration for schools.  Students place their fingertip on the reader (known as podding), enter their pin or wave their cards at the terminal and their attendance is registered automatically.  Powerful reporting features allow you to monitor attendance of individual students or groups of students.

The FP-S200 fingerprint enrolment device is a biometric scanner which makes the process of enrolment easy.  This high performance USB fingerprint reader provides efficient fingerprint authentication for use with biometric fingerprint products (FPU-S).

The SY-780/A biometric scanner is a high performance fingertip reader which stores up to 9,000 templates for biometric verification/identification and provides complex attendance and access reporting.  It can identify a person by biometric characteristics only or it can verify a student after they have entered their personal number or swiped their card.

A portable version of the SY-780 with a tough case and back-up battery enables collection of attendance data at a remote location.    

Integration of DRS fingertip readers with SIMS AM PM and SIMS Lesson monitoring saves the time-consuming task of populating SIMS with attendance data and allows real-time update of data for accurate attendance monitoring.
